hot off the press - thesis

I'm so excited, I just printed my thesis paper and am in the act of gingerly placing them in my thesis committees' mailboxes at school. I'm very proud of all 19 pages (14 of which are the actual paper) and I finished with my photo shoot of my 6 final art pieces, which can be viewed on my website : THESIS. Here are some images I've included in my paper, like a filmstrip instead of larger thumbnails.

website

I've been busy wrapping things up before I turn my thesis paper into my committee and completing my art. One of my favorite projects is designing a website and I've finally monkeyed around with the coding to have something I really like. I have some portfolios, artists statement/bio, resume, events, and links. Tomorrow I will be photographing my thesis work and I plan to have them up sometime shortly after if I'm not too busy organizing my thoughts for my Oral Presentation in a week.
I hope everyone will have a great weekend. I know I will because I'll be done with my art for the Oral Exhibition Show at OCAC and am planning on working out some designs for another wine label contest *fingers crossed* along with thinking about an additional large-scale painting for the OCAC (on campus) Graduation Exhibition.

my spring break

Hello everyone,
I've been busy working on my thesis body of art and paper, but today I have a small break to add some things to my blog.

I tried a recipe from my Mini Just Desserts cookbook - Apple Tarts. They were extremely easy to make and I was excited because I love my mom's apple pie, almost any apple pie, and thought that this would be something fun to make for me and my hubby. It was quite tasty and super simple with flour, sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

I recieved a red tiger abutilon as a wedding present and I finally have a blossom (the first one withered away). Isn't it pretty?

I also enjoy watching all the wildlife in the creek by our apartment. The other day there was a great blue heron.

A couple ducks swim and dive, they are fun to watch especially when the creek isn't all muddy from heavy rains to the west.
I had a great spring break, even though I got really bored from not attending classes. I was able to start organizing my "at home studio" which is located in out spare bedroom. I was also able to hang more of my art on out spacious walls and made it feel more cozy.
