1 horse in 3 different ways
One of my assignments from my active thesis committee member was to paint the same horse three different times, three different ways. I now need to think about each one, what is the emotional content, and what aspects I like or dislike of each. I think I might paint a fourth comprised of what is working ... what do you guys think? Which do you like and why?

JC Equestrian Team donation
Today is the silent auction for my local equestrian team and I donated a painting. I was never in 4-H or any equestrian team when I was younger, I had my "ponies" just for fun, sure I like being competitive, but not all the time. But for those who love to compete horseback, more power to them.
So, here is the painting I donated - Terracotta Rain, 18 x 24 inches, acrylic on canvas, and I had it worth about $75 (mostly because I painted it in 2009 before OCAC, and it seems like forever ago!). I hope that it will help raise the funds for the team. :-)

book arts show in Europe
My school, Oregon College of Art and Craft, has a book arts department which I love to take classes in and during Spring semester last year we did a book project based off of excerpts from Invisible Cities. Well, those books from the assignment were sent, I think, Wales and so there will be a show featuring our work and work from a school/college from there. So, here is the link of a blog about the show if anyone is interested.
Above is an image from a post of the blog, and my book is the very upper left of this photo. :-)
